Nova Spring is a third-magnitude spring submerged in the center of the eastern channel of the Wekiva River. The spring head is a circular pool about 20 feet in diameter, and the sand boil is approximately 25 feet down from the water’s surface. The discharging water can be seen as a boil over the spring opening, then flowing northward down the river. Semitropical forests and private residences line the banks of the Wekiva River near the spring.
