District invites public input on recreation on north Florida conservation lands
The District’s North Recreational Public Meeting will proceed as scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, from 6–8 p.m. at the District’s Headquarters located at 4049 Reid Street, Palatka, FL 32177.
The meeting is an opportunity for public stakeholders to provide input on the recreational use of District conservation lands within the north recreation area, which encompasses 18 properties located across Alachua, Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Marion, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties. All members of the public are encouraged to participate and share their feedback on how these lands are managed and used for recreational purposes.
During the meeting, District staff will present an overview of recreation on District lands, provide updates on land management efforts and facilitate a public comment session. Those unable to attend in person can submit comments or questions via email to NorthernRecreationComments@sjrwmd.com.
