District to host Splash Night at Interlachen Elementary
PALATKA, Fla., Feb. 15, 2016 — The St. Johns River Water Management District is holding a Splash into Science Night on Feb. 18 for students, parents and teachers at Interlachen Elementary School.
The event uses interactive activities to teach students about water supply and natural systems with a focus on science, technology, engineering and math learning.
Among Splash Night activities, students create water cycle bracelets, build a food chain, explore the layers of the Floridan aquifer system through an edible aquifer and play The Great Water OdysseySM, a Web-based educational program designed by the district.

Co-hosts and vendors include Ravine Gardens State Park, Keep Putnam Beautiful, the Water Works Environmental Center, Master Gardeners IFAS Extension, St. Johns River Wetlands Center, William Bartram Trail in Putnam County and Dunns Creek State Park.
