Districts extend deadline to submit applications for $4 million in cost-share funding

PALATKA, Fla., Jan. 15, 2016 –The deadline to apply for cost-share funding for water conservation projects that benefit springs has been extended to Feb. 17, 2016, to allow additional time for completing the application process.

Local governments and public entities are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to receive part of the $4 million in state funding for projects in the Central Florida Water Initiative region and the North Florida Regional Water Supply Partnership region.

Projects to be considered focus on creating sustainable water resources, enhanced conservation efforts and improved efficiency of use. Details of the cost-share program are available at www.sjrwmd.com/funding.
