Welcome to Florida Water StarSM
Florida Water StarSM is a voluntary certification program for new and existing residential and commercial developments that encourages water efficiency in household appliances, plumbing fixtures, irrigation systems and landscapes. To learn more about the program and how to participate, click through the navigation tabs above.
District releases new Bronze retrofit criteria 
Florida Water StarSM Bronze, a voluntary certification program for existing homes to maximize water efficiency, has been released for use in the 18-county St. Johns River Water Management District. Criteria for certification focuses on efficiency and considers cost-effectiveness for the homeowner. The program is designed for a broad range of homes, from a condominium with no yard to an older home on a half-acre lot with an aging irrigation system. The qualifications points list offers ways for every homeowner to succeed in obtaining certification for their water efficiency efforts both indoors and in their landscapes.
